I can't apologise enough for leaving all of you in doubt. I've moved twice; endured a terrible break up; fell into a fleeting but mind-blowing romance with a soldier; raised a kitten; and nursed by mother through back surgery. And now I'm back (from outer space!) and I am going to need all the help that I can get to make this place all that it can be. Oh, and congratulations to Lexi for becoming co-admin! I'm sorry that I couldn't do it before disappearing. January 11th, 2010 -
Congratulations to Ben and Lexi for winning points from the December nominations! With the conclusion of the activity check, a few members and characters have been removed -- however, no accounts and no character profiles have been deleted. If you come back and want to negotiate a return, just log on and send a PM to Victoria. We'd love to see you again! January 8th, 2010 -
Happy New Year! Because we were behind schedule, I'm leaving the current playable months up for two more days. I myself am going to be away from my own computer for a few days being caregiver to my grandparents, but I will struggle throughout to come on and get at least two posts per day, so I'll be caught up when I return. Until then, I trust you guys not to throw parties and invite shady characters over and ruin the couches. ^_^ Oh, and there are only two days left for the activity check and OTM nominations! Hurry, hurry! December 27th, 2009 -
Did everyone have a good holiday? Are you all dead yet? Hehe. The playable dates haven't been updated yet, but feel free to start threads anywhere from Duodecimber to Tredecimber because it's my fault and thou shalt not be punished for it. Everybody welcome Lexi as our new member of the staff! She'll be helping me out as Moderator, which I appreciate endlessly. Thank you, girlie! Position of Promoter is still available, as described in the mass PM I sent out. -pout- Any volunteers?

Our poor sick, overworked members! The site has been a bit quiet for the past few weeks, but everyone has been very good about posting their reasons and keeping us updated on what has been going on. As for me, I faced a bit of difficulty last week and now I'm set up to get back into the game. Thank you for all of your support! Get well too our poor little sickies! November 19th, 2009 -
I finally got past the worst of the blocks on the site's coding. The skins are now completed! Try them out. You might be surprised. Tomorrow is completely free for posting, now! It's been a bit slow around here; understandable, as all of our members are either buried under their studies or very ill. Send some digital chicken soup to Lem, Pen, Amy and Rory! November 17th, 2009 -
Congratulations to Pen and Rawdon for being our site's first Honourees! What the River Says tied with Unlit Candles and won by a dice roll. The site is officially a month old! Yay site! You might see some more changes to the skin in the next few days. Bear with me! <3 November 12th, 2009 -
The Character/Thread of the Month nominations are up! The voting ends on the fifteenth. Also, if you get the chance, click the banners in the "Support by Click" table. Once at the sites, find our site listing if you can and rate it, and click our ad back here. It helps our ratings on the list, and makes it easier for people to find us.
Marketplace A stretch of road through the centre of town, on which farmers and tradesman alike hawk products and buyers debate prices through the early hours of the morning
The Nine Wands A quaint little inn, used by travellers and merchants passing through. Home of The Nine Wands pub, where every night songs are sung, hunting trophies paraded, and boasts made.
Cottages The homes of villagers within the town itself

Meeting Hall The most sturdy building in the village, made of stone and hard wood with a bell in the steeple. It is the place of records and decision-making. There is a small but well-built jail cell behind the main hall that has seldom had to be used.

Smithy The town smithy, run by Gareth Cleaver and his assistant, Benjamin Benson, who resides in the loft. The smithy is perpetually hot and dark, cast in a red glow from the hearth. It is beside Hallow Hill, so that the sounds of clanging metal against metal are reserved primarily for the ears of the dead.
Hallow Hill Rising behind the Meeting Hall is a large swelling hill, blanketed in gravestones and markers. This is the villager's burial ground, and has been for centuries.

THE VALLEY
Farms The various farms and farmhouses of village families
The Strangeway Cottage Set apart from town is a little two-story cottage entirely covered in vines and flowers. There are two bed rooms up stairs, one downstairs, and a open floor area that is used for the sitting room, with the kitchen and dining room in the back. Inhabited by Dominic Strangeway, his wife Lilith, and their children Aubry, Delilah and Meriwhether. Guarded by the outcast Leander.

Open Land The glorious, wild and uncultivated hills and plains of the village's surroundings. Flora and fauna reign supreme. The River Branwen snakes out of the woods and through the valley, ripe with succulent fish.
Outposts Two tall wooden structures at the edge of the forest. At night, the brave youths of the village take shifts watching at these posts, their hands ready at large bells hung above them to signal danger.

THE WOODS
Fringes The first half-mile into the woods, where the trees are thinner and farther apart and sunlight reaches through to glitter on the sleepy River Branwen.
Deep Woods The trees here are older and taller, thick and hung with moss. Hardly any sunlight reaches the ground, casting the forest into a world of shadow.

The Ruins Deep in the depths of the woods sprawls a ruined testament to decay, the scattered stone ruins of a human establishment that clearly died out centuries ago. It's origins aren't known, but the Guardians believe it was the home of their ancestors. The Gewin believe it was the home of theirs.
Elencastel Deep in the woods, only about a mile from the ruins is a huge, dilapidated castle. Several parts have been renovated throughout the ages, so most of the interior and much of the exterior is in the Gothic style. It is currently inhabited by and under the care of the mysterious and wealthy Mr. Rawdon Bray.
