Gender: Female
Born: 4th of October, Year XXXV [20 Years Old]
Appearance:
Kitty is of an average height at 5’5, though well formed and curvy; she is no stick. Her face is rounded down to a slightly pointed chin, with high cheekbones set beneath shockingly large brown eyes. Her nose is small and sweet, with slightly flared nostrils that flare even more when she is angry (and this bothers her to no end). She has the ability to wiggle her nose like a rabbit, and it was her favourite trick as a little girl. Like the other girls in the village, Kitty keeps her hair quite long; it falls to her lower back when let down. It is a mess of curls, and even she is hard pressed to say what colour it is. It could be effectively categorised as brown, red or blonde without much trouble. Her hair is her greatest vanity. Kitty’s lips are most often pulled into a lopsided, knowing little smile.
Personality:
----Joyful
Kitty is one of those terribly misunderstood, sunny people. She is not unhappy to wake in the morning and is excited to go to bed at night. She has a light-hearted way of doing things that keeps her smiling, a laugh always around the corner.
----Independent
Katherine may be the youngest of the brood, but she in no way requires coddling. She prefers the assurance that comes with relying upon one’s self, and feels no need to ask permission before following her own will.
----Curious
She has an insatiable need to know things:, why, who, what, where, how, and when. She derives much delight from mechanical things, as well as from watching the workings of the natural world. She can maintain hours of pleasure from watching the goings-on of a family of birds in a tree, or from monitoring the growth of a plant over the course of many months. Her greatest curiosity pertains to death, black magic and ghosts, for they are topics generally avoided among the villagers. At times, her curiosity can get her into a bit of trouble, because she tends to follow trails of gossip until she finds out the truth of the matter (revealing some nasty little secrets and exposing tongue-waggers in the process).
----Observant
No speech required. Kitty is excellent with picking up gestural cues, and she is also very skilled with reading faces. She has a very long attention span and can concentrate upon a single thing very intensely for as long as it takes to understand it thoroughly.
----Mysterious
Kitty doesn’t talk much. While she plays, laughs and smiles, always enjoying being in the centre of activity, she is not often found conversing. When forced to speak, she talks quietly and in short, clipped sentences, saying no more than is absolutely required of her. Her sly, knowing smile can tend to unnerve, as it is obvious that she knows something… she just won’t say it.
Biography:
Kitty was born Katherine Helen McKay on the fourth of October in the year XXXV to Katherine and Edward McKay. Her father was a farmhand, so Kitty’s childhood home was one of the small cottages on the outskirts of the farm beside those belonging to the other farmhands, including those residing in the bunk house. She had an older brother and sister, twins, who were two years older than she. Primarily, the siblings took care of each other growing up, and then eventually just themselves when the others could manage on their own. Their father always being at work and their mother perpetually ill, learning to run the house by themselves became necessary. The twins were able to communicate through gestures, expressions and looks – despite what everyone thought about their sharing thoughts, it was all simply bodily cues – and young Kitty naturally picked up the skill as well.
It was her older brother Kingsley that first suggested that Kitty had a guardian angel. Kitty was never ill, and always seemed to come out of dangerous situations unscathed. The most she got throughout her childhood, for all of her hard playing and daring ploys, were a couple of knocked elbows and scraped knees. The conception took root in Kitty’s mind, until she found herself dreaming up a personage to go with the idea, and whispering to her angel at night; she is half convinced that it is nothing but childish fancy, but one secret part of her believes that her angel is always with her.
Kitty has found herself in the secure position of the little sister to an unmarried woman. Tradition dictating that girls must marry in order of their age, Kitty has been safe from any real presses for marriage as long as her older sister Keira continues to reject every suitor that has the guts to ask. Nonetheless she flirts a little and enjoys the positive attention brought by being a woman, as long as those with whom she dances or laughs have no illusions as to her intentions.
ADMIN NOTE:
Hope this is okay, Ben! Until December 11th, she is adoptable. It’s kind of a trial run. If you don’t think I’m playing her right, Ben, just tell me and I’ll stop botching her.
