Player’s Name: Octave
Player's Gender: female
Roleplay Experience: 3 years
Name: Jude
Species: Gewyn
Gender: Male
Age: 26
Appearance:
----Human: Wild dark brown hair, greenish hazel eyes, lean muscular, 6”, Claim: Lee Pace.
Standing at 6”, Jude is not particularly tall when compared to some of his brethren, but he still tops most human males. His face is handsome and well structured with a strong forehead and hard jaw. Long, dark brown lashes frame his beautiful greenish hazel eyes. His hair is dark brown and is somewhat long, but not long enough to be called scraggly, rather, wild will do. Like his hair, his eye brows are thick and untidy, and normally furrowed in concentration or anger, lending a sinister look to his already dangerous appearance. His body is well toned, appearing healthy enough to the occasional human unfortunate enough to witness it. His torso is long and lean, as are his legs, lending him the majority of his height. His hands are large, rough and worn with calluses and scars, and dirt perpetually underneath his sharp nails.
----Wolf: In his lupine form, unlike his human one, Jude stands on the larger side of the height spectrum, his form muscular and toned. His coat consists of the general greys, blacks and tans; however the dominant colour appears to be black and dark browns. Along the top of his muzzle streaks a rich tan that seeps into darker browns and blacks as it reaches the point between his eyes. Colouring the underside of his muzzle, neck, belly and tail is a lighter cream colour, which also makes an appearance as two eye dots set above both eyes. Under his chin, in contrast to the cream colour of his throat, is a dark grey that claims most of the underside of his jaw. His eyes retain the same greenish hazel colouration as they appear in his human form. Running over top of his head, the back of his neck and back is darker fur consisting of blacks and browns. A collar of blacks and browns seems to rap around his pale cream coloured throat. His ears are rimmed with a coppery colour similar to the colour resting atop his muzzle. His limbs also bare the cream colour of his underbelly. Under his thick fur coat, his body is muscular and strong, consisting of lithe, strongly built muscle. His paws are well structured and wide.
Personality:
----Serious: A smile rarely cracks the venire of his human form. He dislikes smiling and unlike the humans he observes, believes it is a useless ability and certainly isn’t one that would show affection. After all, showing one’s teeth is a sign of aggression; it makes his hackles rise. It is easy to mistake his mood for depression.
----Quiet: This goes hand-in-hand with his overall air of seriousness. Jude isn’t very outspoken, even with his own kind, not that he cares much for their company anyway. A few words are spared when luring his prey, but other than that he is very quite at least on the outside. Jude is a think before you act sort of gewyn, even in his wolf form, albeit to a lesser extent than his more comprehensive human self.
----Easily Angered: Rub him the wrong way, which is usually quite easy to accomplish, and he’ll snap. Gone is the air of quietness and his calm, serious disposition; if you’re the one who pissed him off, you’d better look out. Pearly white fangs gnash, claws fly, snarls and growls aplenty are granted. This is possibly the result of the inner turmoil he’s been struggling with since his parents’ disappearance/deaths.
----Distrusting: Learning his lesson at age 13, Jude is not quick to trust, even, or perhaps especially, his own kind. The only two who are granted his loyalty and kinship are his younger brother and sister, Eli and Cora. Of course he does not trust humans either; he sees them as weak, but curiously not as inferior, rather on a slightly similar level to his own kind.
----Conflicted: Although humans are the source of his cravings; their flesh and scent, almost everything about them is intoxicating, he finds that they possess so many qualities that he and his kind do not. They intrigue him and are constantly a mystery he intends to unravel. At times he catches himself loathing what he is, loathing his own nature and hunger for them. But as soon as the Guardians are brought to mind, he quells such thoughts. The Guardians protect the helpless humans, much like shepherds guarding sheep. His hatred for the Guardians is as deep as any Gywen’s since his own family suffered, he assumes, at their paws. If humans weren’t protected, he might never have lost his parents. He tends to be wary of the village, preying on travelers (as his parents had taught them) and small animals that dwell in the forest. Perhaps it is out of respect that he doesn’t kill those from the village, even he doesn’t really know. However, he wouldn’t hesitate to kill one if it would bring misery to the Guardians.
Biography: Jude was born to a small pack of just his parents and later to come his brother Eli, 21, and his sister Cora, 16. The family usually kept away from hunting near the village, preferring to hunt on travelers. One night however when Jude was thirteen his distant relatives persuaded his parents to join a certain attack on night, Jude was to stay behind and watch over Eli and Cora. The young siblings waited three nights, their parents never returned. The siblings swore they’d stick together until they found the Guardians, they assumed, killed them.
Together they make a strange pack, an odd sight in a species of loners. Jude has designated himself as the dominant member, and as the protector of his younger siblings. Their hatred of the vile cat creatures is what binds them together, urging them closer to the village in search of the ones who took their parent’s lives. The pack has taken up residence in a remote cave that faces away from the village, they don’t meet many of their kind, and that is the way Jude prefers it.
Roleplay Sample:
The large, grey and brown wolf wove his way through the trees with ease, large paws gripping the damp, soft soil of the forest floor with ease. His ears and nose informed him of the various sounds and scents that ment he was close to the human's village. Glancing behind him he made sure that the two younger wolves were still following him, of course they were, and he repeated that fact silently to himself. It had been thirteen years since their parents failed to reture to their den, leaving the three siblings stranded at a young age. It was fortunate that Jude had learned well the art of hunting, and had since taught and fed Eli and Cora.
He could already smell the sweet, musky scent of the humans withing their village. They reached the point were he would tread no closer to the village, he did not want to risk a run-in with a cat today, not with Eli and Cora. One Guardian would probably not stand a chance against three Gewyn, but if they brought company, they would be in trouble. A sickening smell reached his nose, causing Cora to speak up, "Vile cats! I can smell one by-" Followed quickly by Eli's deeper voice who he cut her off, "Oh how I'd like to get my jaws around their scrawny necks! We could just as quickly take them by surprise Jude," But Jude was silent, watching some of the humans putter around, oblivious to the gaze of the wolves observing them from the cover of the trees.
The younger wolves were impatient, he could tell, and although he shared their desires, he could not act on them, not yet. This was the closest they had come yet to the village, soon their scent would be detected by their enemies. Pink tongue flicked across his leathery black nose and he snorted the vile stench of cat from his nostrils. "No," he answered in his customarily quiet voice, "they will soon smell us..." His gaze shifted back to the forest, "come, I am hungry and the scent of the humans is too tempting, we shall wait for nightfall". He shifted his body around, tail held high as a display of dominance. Glancing back, he knew his siblings were angry, they had all waited a long time to spill Guardian blood. "We will have our revenge."
