Player’s Name: Call me Gordon
Roleplay Experience: I've got a good five or six years under my belt
Name: Gordon Placid
Species: Human
Gender: Male
Birthday Twenty-eighth of November
Age: 29
Play-by Hugh Laurie
Appearance: Gordon isn't too terribly handsome, at least that was his opinion, pale blue eyes always alert and looking for fine details in everything. Short brown hair always kept up and away, to assist with many procedures he had to preform on his patients. He also wasn't tall, but rather average, probably topping off at 5'10". He didn't dress too finely, because of two reasons; He liked the feel of clothes that were a little on the lower end of the spectrum of class, and, he frequently..."Forgets," to ask for payment for his services, and since he had a small choice of clothes, many of them had even the tiniest bit of dried-in blood on them. When outside, he usually wore a wide-brimmed black hat and carried a bag full of medical supplies and different medicines, along with a pistol, an heirloom from his father.
Personality: Gordon is a very quiet man, not one you would find out and about, socializing with the masses. Rather, he liked keeping to himself, almost in a hermit-like manner. Though, he wasn't quite the old creepy doctor that no one talks to, rather, he only speaks when spoken to. A very polite and gentle man, he excelled in treating children or anyone who needed a bit of cheering up during a checkup, even if sometimes they turned out painful for the patient.
Biography: Gordon grew up as the old physician's son and apprentice. Learning all the tricks of the trade from his father, but not retaining the man's Personality. Gordon's father, Michael, was a bitter and money-grubbing man, always charging his patients for even the smallest procedures, like cleaning and putting a bandage on a scratch or adding some ointment to a rash. Gordon's mother, Alexandra, was much more quiet and gentle, though, she would never leave the house Gordon grew up in, even when Michael Placid died at sixty and Gordon had moved to set up a new home at the age of twenty one.
Even though Gordon was young when he took up the family business, he knew enough to get himself started and treating the wounded and the sick. Many times he lets people go without any payment, especially the children and the older folks, but, he has certain reservations against arrogant people. As for the Guardians; he doesn't mind them, he was always a cat person anyway, so, much of his socialization came from the guardians that wandered into his home, always talking with them while also giving the cats some food or some attention.
Gordon also cares a lot for the pistol his father had given him along with the business. He didn't use it at all, since he followed the rule to never harm, though, he knew the ever-present threat of the creatures that lived in the woods and went bump in the night.

Ah, sorry to say that this is far from my best work, but, hopefully there aren't any problems with the application! Also, feel free to ask any questions.

ADMIN NOTE:
Don't worry about it, it's fine. I'm really excited to have a physician in the village. I really wanted one, but was thinking he'd have to be an NPC. Happy to be mistaken! Glad to have you, Gordon! Welcome to Benevolence!
