Player’s Name: Lem
Roleplay Experience: Four Years
Name: Aubry Drake Strangeway
Species: Human
Gender: Male
Age: Nineteen
Appearance:
Aubry is the middle child of the Strangeways and his appearance makes it undebatable that he is the son of Lilith and Dominic. Aubry stands at 5'11" and compared to his younger sibling, Meriwether, he seems quite tall, towering an entire two feet over her, but really isn't a tall person. He's quite an Average human, actually, but it is his appearance that keeps him from blending into the background he belongs to. Aubry shares the same defining strawberry blond hair of his siblings. Not only does he share the color of his sibling's hair, but the color of his blue eyes, the color the three children undoubtedly inherited from Lilith.
Personality:
Aubry has always been on the sidelines and doesn't mind staying there. He prefers not to get too involved with the villagers that he just can't stand. Why can't the others just see past the "rumors" about his family, or more specifically Lilith, whether they be true or not? When Aubry is in the presence of the other villagers he is noticed as a calm person, disciplined and well-mannered, and even friendly, he is noticeably like Lilith. Down to it, he can be fun to be around, too. Sure, he might just hate most everyone else, but who says he can't be fun with those few exceptions? Note that Aubry is a kind yet untrusting person, sometimes a little too distrusting. In his cold, blue eyes everyone is a nasty, deceitful person. At least on the inside. Because of that, he ends up treating others with much more respect than he believes they would actually deserve, which in the case of most of his fellow villagers isn't much.
Biography:
Aubry was born to the Strangeway family on the Twenty-Third day of Duodecimber. As the second child of Dominic and Lilith his upbring was just a little smoother, as he wasn't the "guinea pig child". The household was quite noisy for the first four or so years of his life, with two young children, only a year apart, running around. It was those noisy years where he was unaware of the observed status of his family; those noisy years were the ones where he got along much better with the other children and even some of the adults of the village. As he grew he learned differently; he discovered what he now thinks of as the "true nature of human beings"; truths among the lies, love amongst the deceitful, etc. It is these basic contradictions that make up people and seem to pre-determine their actions. With the other families almost ostracizing the Strangeways Aubry grew to despise the others, often wishing to be a Gewin to exact some form of revenge or justice upon the villagers instead of sitting by an letting them go on with their selfish lives.

THEN WHY ARE WE LAUGHING?
IF LIFE AIN'T JUST A JOKE,
The sounds of the silence were getting on Aubry's nerves, so he left for the village center. Everything in the cottage was just too quiet; dead quiet, with the exception of the occaisional scratches of a mouse hiding in the walls. It was rare for there to be such peace, but the family was out and about on such a nice day. When Aubry was in the Center's Marketplace, he could understand why everyone picked today to do their errands; the sun was shining high in the sky, the heat wasn't too bad, and everything just felt, well, right. Aubry wasn't intending to buy anything, hell he didn't even bring money, but he just felt like going somewhere outside that wasn't quiet. The marketplace fit that descritption well enough. So, he walked silently up the path, not even looking at what the people had for sale, just keeping his eyes foreward, on the ground. Now and then he unintentionally shouldered someone walking in the opposite direction and quickly appologized before continuing on his way.
It didn't take Aubry long to reach the opposite end of the road. He turned around and looked back, trying to pick people from the crowd. Perhaps he'd find one of his few friends; afterall, the marketplace was just buzzing today. He pushed his way through the people, most of them were just travelers anyways, looking for a familiar face. He pushed a strawberry blond lock of his bangs, bangs that really needed a trim, out of his face before tapping on the shoulder of someone he thought he knew. When the person turned around he learned that it was just an elderly woman who didn't quite seem to understand the mistake and was eager to repremand him. After he walked away from the woman he decided just to go back to the cottage; there wasn't anything for him to do here, or so he thought. On his way out of the marketplace he found a turtle. What a turtle was doing here Aubry hadn't the slightest idea, but he picked the poor creature up and looked at it. It was small, no doubt young, and obviously didn't bite. On a second thought Aubry knew he shouldn't have just picked the turtle up; it might have taken off a finger or two if it were a snapper. Rather than a dangerous snapper, it was harmless and lost. Perhaps it had hitched a ride along in one of the travelers boxes. Aubry decided that he'd take the turtle to the River Branwen, but not after showing it to Meriwether. He had a feeling the young girl would enjoy getting to see the small animal.

ADMIN NOTE:
Again, you're too hard on yourself. Just remember to emphasise his estrangement, and his reluctance to interact with villagers. He is a gentleman, but cold and curt. Can't wait to play with him! Welcome to Benevolence!
