Player's Name: Lulu, Lumi
Player's Gender: Female
Roleplay Experience: About five years, maybe more.
Name: Lumiere Vermina Solice
Species: Human
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Appearance: The girl is thin, almost withered, but she is undeniably strong. This is out of necessity; her living environment is quite tough. Her hair is long and reddish, tangled and dirty. Her eyes are a piercing hazel, determination wrought throughout their solid gaze. Her clothing is worn and weathered, but she manages to keep it stitched together. She still wears her powdered white wig, if she can get it clean enough.
Her skin is dusted with freckles, her lips perfect, but her smile crooked and unrefined. It mars her beauty and turns it into something callous. He brow is almost always furrowed, at least slightly.
Personality: She is witty and can be quite rude. She is not accustomed to the common courtesies that are preferred by society. She can also be quite charming, which collides with her wild behavior. It suggests that she is privy to more than one personality, but this can hardly be confirmed. She leads people around in circles with her words, playing games that really never end. However, she prefers her solitude. Only when she yearns for the reactions of another being does she open her mouth, even when spoken to. Stubborn is really the only way to describe her.
Biography: Lumiere Solice was once an average young lady, clandestine and perfect in her imperfection. The joys and woes of a budding girl were all hers. Boys. Oh, yes, she loved them. They intrigued her. She wasn't looking for love of any kind, nor affection. She didn't want to be noticed. No, she wanted to study them. To her, boys were peculiar in their animal interactions with the female variety. Some were shy, some were sure, and some were just downright over the top.
She would attend parties just to see how they reacted to her charm. She would pretend to be interested, or pretend to ignore them. Either way, the words they spoke and the excited or rejected tone in their voices was always pleasant. Yes, in this aspect, Miss Solice was cruel.
As years went by, and she became bored with the plaything she called man, her life was dulled. Every day was the same, and routine had begun to drain her. Discontent ravaged her conscious mind, placing in her a deep longing for something new. And she found it. At last, in the form of a young man named Cristian Beck. He was sweet, and strange. He would not play her games. He spent hours prying her away from her endless bouts of play. He told her he would not stand for it. That it was unacceptable. That he wanted to know her. He wanted to know her! From that moment on, Cristian was a god in her eyes.
He changed her. He opened her heart, and her mind. Once, her words were cruel and matter of fact. Now, nothing she spoke gave way to hurt or offense. She was kind and trusting, optimistic and thoughtful. Cristian had brought out the best in her, and everyone could see it. Even Lumiere.
Their relationship flowered into more, and eventually, inevitably...Cristian proposed. After consulting her father, he began to build her a home. He couldn't take her away until it was finished...and anticipation was rising, bubbling under her skin.
One long night, only a few hours before first light would pour out into the open sky, Lumiere made a horrid decision. She made her way to her fiancée's estate, taking care to remain hidden in the shadows, lest someone observe her as she disregarded societal regulation. Once she had made it to Cristian's room, she slipped inside. Darkness enveloped her, secrecy now only a tainted flavor on her lips. She reached for her lover's hand and felt the warmth therein. Nary a word spoken, they broke their vows to remain chaste until their wedding night. While this evening they esteemed above all others, the morning that awaited was a dark and dreary one.
Lumiere's father had been informed of her night with Cristian by a manservant that occupied a room three doors down from the good master Beck. Outraged, Master Solice declaired that Cristian had taken advantage of his daughter's innocence. Cristian was unjustly sentenced to death, leaving the poor Lumiere Solice with a round belly and no one to care for her.
Her father confined her until the baby was born. The child was a boy, a still-birth. The young Miss Solice had finally had it. Her heart had been shredded to pieces. No more could she take. She hated her father, and barely acknowledged her mother. Neither had listened to her when she pleaded for Cristian's life. Now she was just an unwelcome guest in a house she couldn't leave. Insanity clawed at her mind, solitude destroying her. Several weeks after her confinement, at a scheduled time when her handmaiden had been sent to her room, Lumiere took this as her chance to escape her prison. She dashed out of the room, darting down the halls. A grand chase ensued, but, inevitably, she escaped through drastic feats. Seeing no other way out, she leaped out of a window on the third floor of her estate. Tumbling, she landed on her shoulder. Dislocation was not the only injury she sustained. There she lay momentarily, adrenaline pumping through her veins. As her pursuers grew near, she let out a sharp, fizzing cry, bloodcurdling and shrill. Screeching in pain and desperation, she stumbled and faltered until she was once more on her feet. And then she fled. She ran so fast, so hard, her heart nearly gave out. Down the roads, past the people, through the gates, into the woods. And that was that.
Now, she fumbles from village to village, alone and mentally exhausted until she finds a place to settle. All her other injuries have healed, but her shoulder is still bandaged, and she causes quite a scene if anyone tries to help her. As a sort of jesting nickname, she is known among small villages as the Noble Nomad.
